The India Water Tool (IWT) is an online tool to help companies undertake first level screening to assess water risks related to availability and quality of water (i.e., both surface and ground water resources). The tool incorporates various digitized databases on an interactive GIS based platform.
It was developed by a Working Group of 13 members including 10 corporates and 3 knowledge partners coordinated by WBCSD.Version 2 is a GIS-web platform, integrating 14 datasets from Central Ground Water Board, India Meteorological Department, Ministry of Water Resources, Central Pollution Control Board and stress indicators from WRI and Columbia.
