12th December 2017 , New Delhi
Confederation of Indian Industry is organising a National Seminar on “Promoting CSR initiatives for Water & Livelihood Security : Building Partnerships & Bridging Gaps” on Tuesday, 12th December 2017 at 1000 hrs at New Delhi.

The larger objective of the seminar is to stimulate, strategize, synchronize and more importantly recognize Water related CSR initiatives of the Indian Industry in pursuance with the National objectives. Availability and sustainable management of water are critical issues that need focus as they can have serious repercussion on healthcare, education, ecosystem and economy. Hence water has been identified as a central issue for companies to manage responsibly through their CSR practices. The seminar would witness the presence of Senior officials from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Environment & Forest & Climate Change, Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Rural Development.
It is envisaged that through this dynamic knowledge exchange seminar, stakeholders would have an opportunity for sharing good practices, future aspirations and potential scale-ups towards management of this increasingly scarce resource under a scenario of rising demands and increasing variability in climate and land-use patterns.
